Uniform Insurance Act

Each province enacts its own Insurance Act. Each act includes an almost identical section relating to life insurance, so that the rules of life insurance are uniform throughout Canada. This is referred to as the "Uniform Insurance Act". Here is how it appears in Ontario. It is almost identical in the other common-law provinces.
